Objective: Connect, Learn and Collaborate with our sellers, showing them how to engage with the customers to address their particular challenges and explore new business opportunities in the e-commerce space.
Date: October 11th, 2018 Location: Movenpick Hotel, Westlands, Nairobi Target Audience Segmentation: Vendor Business Decision Makers. The Jumia event: The event format, which consisted of short 20 min sessions followed by cocktails before and after the event, proved to be very effective in capturing the audience attention and addressing their interests and concerns. The positive impact was our key partners capturing more than 47 new leads from vendors considering the adoption of one or more of the showcased products and solutions in their respective organizations. The event kick started with a welcome note from Sam Chappatte, Jumia Kenya Managing Director, that emphasized Jumia’s mission, the importance of adapting different aspects of e-commerce in today’s business. Afterwards, three speakers took turn to demonstrate the following: Understanding Your Buyers Journey with Laura Chite. Digitizing trade to grow the economy with Dr Chris Kiptoo Core Note with Chris Rumenda. |

Following the presentations, vendors, according to their business interests, interacted with each partner at one of the eight dedicated booths, which represented the showcased products giving them the opportunity to drive specific discussions and Q&As.
The Jumia Partner booth: During the event, partners devices booth was setup at the entrance of the hall displaying the latest partner offerings from Grant Thornton, HP & VISA. Internal Jumia teams were also included offering a hands-on experience around the following:

Highlights:
Attendees expressed their satisfaction and appreciation for the level of engagement from the speakers and their valuable input to the content of the presentations during the event.
More pictures are available here Press coverage: During the event, the marketing and communication team led by Pauline held a presser with journalists from the top media houses in Kenya with the Dr Chris Kiptoo- PS Trade, Florence-Senior advisor to the trade ministry and Sam Chappatte- Jumia MD present. The hashtag was #Jumiamillionariesclub. Insights: The event was a great success with more than a 463 attendees, which gave us the opportunity to interact closely with vendors, discuss their business needs and offer relevant solutions. At the end of the event, more than 47 new leads were collected by our partners. |
